Chaitaigne

Chataigne – Pronounced ‘Sha-tine’ and also known as ‘Breadnut’. Chaitaigne is a tree species grown for its large fruit which is cooked in its immature stage as a vegetable and the cooked seeds of the mature/ripe stage is boiled and consumed as a snack(boiled chaitaigne seeds).
