Orhni s a headcovering or headscarf, traditionally worn in Trinidad by married Hindu women to cover their heads. I vividly recall that my Grandma wore it all day while doing her chores and had special ones for going out or special occasions. It is not so common to wear during the day anymore, but it is still worn by all femals at Hindu religious rituals or temples.
According to Wikipedia, it is also referred to as a ghoonghat (ghunghat, ghunghta, ghumta, odhni, laaj, chunari, jhund) in the Indian Sub Continent.
