Simple Steamed Green Beans with Garlic

  • Rinse and prep green beans, trimming off the ends or any soft parts.
  • Place all ingredients in a heavy bottomed pot (with a tight dome shaped cover), oven medium heat. Once it comes to a boil, reduce heat to the lowest and steam for 5 minutes or until firm but cooked through.
  • Then immediately remove cover and move pot from the heat source to prevent overcooking.
