Simple Steamed Green Beans
Ingredients
- 12 oz fresh green beans ends trimmed
- 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ¾ tsp salt or to taste
- ¼ cup hot water
Instructions
- Rinse and prep green beans, trimming off the ends or any soft parts.
- Place all ingredients in a heavy bottomed pot (with a tight dome shaped cover), oven medium heat. Once it comes to a boil, reduce heat to the lowest and steam for 5 minutes or until firm but cooked through.
- Then immediately remove cover and move pot from the heat source to prevent overcooking.
