Diwali will be celebrated this year on October 29th and many Hindus in Trinidad and around the world have started ‘fasting’. Fasting is the abstinence from meat or seafood for a period of time, usually 21 days, before a Hindu religious festival or occasion.
Mummy called this weekend and made her usual request for Pepper Roti. She specially requests it before every fasting period, because not only is it delicious, it is filling and satisfying!
