A Special Sunday Meal for Dad
Table of Contents
Father’s Day weekend called for a simple yet special menu. We started with aloo pies for breakfast—my husband’s favorite, so definitely worth the effort. For lunch, the spread included steak, lobster, angel hair pasta with tomatoes and asparagus, cheesy garlic bread, coconut-boiled corn, and a fresh salad.
My daughter took charge of the lobster, garlic bread, and lobster sauce, while I prepped the rest, along with dinners and lunches for the week: salmon and shrimp for my dinners, baked chicken and rice for my husband’s lunches, and halal cart chicken with yellow rice for my daughter. Recipes for these will be coming soon!
A Day of Simple Joys
Although the meal was meant to give my husband a break, he ended up washing the dishes my daughter was supposed to do. He also spent time installing a shelf in the garage for our water bottles—something I’d ordered weeks ago. Simple things, good food, and teamwork made it a good day.
