AIR FRYER OR OVEN HONEY HABANERO BUFFALO WINGS

Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs wings tips removed and cut into 2
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp granulated garlic
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper or chili powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbs oil
- 1/2 cup red hot Sauce or buffalo sauce
- 4 tbs butter
- 3 tbs honey
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- Habanero sliced, to taste
Instructions
Prepare wings
- Clean wings by removing any fine feathers. Trim off tips and separate into two.
- Place in a bowl and fill with water. Squeeze juice of a lemon or lime or add 1/4 cup white vinegar. Allow the wings to soak for 15 mins. Wash under running water or in a bowl with clean water and drain.
Instructions for Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, add the wings along with the seasonings. Toss to coat.
- Place the chicken wings in the air fryer basket and cook for about 20-30 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and golden brown. I had to flip after 20 mins and cooked it for another 10 mins to ensure even cooking.
- Once cooked, remove the wings from the basket and place in a mixing bowl.
- While the wings are in the air fryer, make the sauce. In a pan, add ingredients for the sauce, bring to a boil and cook just until it thickens.
- Pour sauce onto hot wings and mix to combine.
Instructions for Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 450°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, add the wings along with the seasonings. Toss to coat.
- Place the chicken wings on the baking sheet and bake for about 40-50 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and golden brown(flipping once brown)
- Remove the wings from baking sheet and place in a mixing bowl.
- While the wings are in the oven, make the sauce. In a pan, add ingredients for the sauce, bring to a boil and cook just until it thickens.
- Pour sauce onto wings and mix to combine.
- Enjoy your honey buffalo wings!
