Bounjay

Bounjay (pronounced boon-jay) or the act of bounjaying something, is the process of adding meat or vegetable to the pot and cooking it until it’s thoroughly until coated with the curry or caramelized sugar when stewing. This process when done right develops the flavors in West Indian cooking.

Sentence – I am going to bounjay the duck or “bounjay it really well” (cook it long enough to develop the flavors).
