Hot sauce, known as pepper sauce in the Caribbean is a must have in our home and most homes. Even better is home made pepper sauce; we either have our own home made pepper sauce or pepper sauce from another family member or friend because no two hot sauce is alike. At least I have never tasted two pepper sauce that tastes identical. That is the beauty of pepper sauce, the variations are endless, exciting, interesting and always satisfying.
This is my Mum’s –Indra- secret pepper sauce recipe that we have devoured over the years. I recall pouring it on microwaved, sliced hot dogs (the entire package) and enjoying with my sister KK as an after school snack, while sitting on the stairs of our home. A memory that still lives on happily in my mind.
Mummy’s pepper sauce goes on everything and anything. It’s feel good, burn your mouth, make you teary eyed good.
I am sure you hot sauce and pepper sauce lovers will enjoy it. Do give it a try and let me know how it turns out.
Great with BBQ Chicken, fried aloo, pelau, holiday ham and home made bread too!
